North Staffordshire Gin Is Back On Sale

A locally-made craft gin celebrating a Staffordshire market town is back on sale.

Leek Gin – also known as Leek Town Gin – was created to raise funds for Leek Town Football Club.

It was launched late last year and was so popular that all the bottles sold out before Christmas.

Now it is back for 2020, but only a single batch of 152 bottles has been produced by the Papermill Distillery, based at Staffordshire Brewery in Cheddleton.

The gin was the idea of Leek Town FC fan Dave Swarbrook. He said: “It all started with a conversation last year with Leek Town chairman Jon Eeles.
