Sainsbury's Brings Back 'One Adult At A Time' Policy
Customers at Sainsbury’s stores across North Staffordshire are being asked to shop alone in a fresh bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.
The supermarket giant has re-instated the policy across all its stores to allow shoppers to keep their distance and to keep queues down.
It is asking that people come alone but have added that children are able to visit with one parent if they’re unable to stay at home.
The move comes as Stoke-on-Trent has been placed in Tier 2 ‘high risk’ coronavirus lockdown to curb the soaring infection rate.
As well as the larger stores Sainsbury’s at Hanley, Stoke, Newcastle, Leek, Biddulph (Pictured) and Alsager, ‘locals’ will be affected too.
It comes as shoppers have also been raising concerns about a lack of social distancing in the aisles of some supermarkets across the area.
